When to hoard, when to spend, and how the planner counts them.
Books of Building/Heroes/Spells/Fighting skip timers but don’t replace loot. The planner timeline assumes normal builder/lab time unless you mark an active upgrade in your village export.
Books vs. gems
Use books on long upgrades near the end of a TH — especially heroes and expensive defenses.
Gem finish hints on the priority panel compare builder/lab/hero wait to approximate gem cost; they’re guides, not exact in-game prices.
Hammers & runes
Builder and lab hammers complete one in-progress upgrade instantly. Save them for upgrades that block war (heroes) or CWL prep.
Wall hammers and runes of gold/elixir/dark help wall sessions — walls don’t use builder time in the planner but still consume loot.
